Japan Beauty Products

[REVIEW] Japanese Drug Store Beauty Products Pt 1

Hey guys, sorry ive been MIA for the last couple of months. I wrote this blog post a month ago but never got the time or chance to put this up. Im currently in my final year for physio. In the last month Ive moved cities, went house hunting, started my 8-5 mon-fri clinical placement and am now sitting in my uni library typing this because my house STILL have no wifi. So yeah, been a crazy month.

Hello my lovelies! Happy 2016! Man, its been ages since Ive blogged, the last two months of summer have been crazy packed with travelling and coming home to Malaysia. Im currently back in Malaysia as we speak but leaving for NZ again soon. If you follow my instagram (which you should, keke), you would know that Ive just came back from a trip to Tokyo, Japan. Since I didnt go with a tour group (big no no for me!), I spent a bit of time on the internet reading up on the places to go and things to buy. Of course, Japanese Drug Store beauty products were number 1 on the list of things to buy from Japan besides kitkat and everything matcha based HAHA. I went on a major haul with my mum and brought home a bunch of must-haves products that was HIGHLY recommended by the guidebooks and bloggers. Some of the stuff I got were so amazing that I have to share it with you guys πŸ™‚

1)Silcot Uru Uru Sponge Tailored

When they named this product a ‘sponge’, they really meant it. Seriously, at first I thought ‘Pfft, who goes to Japan to buy cotton pads?’ but guys, this shit absorbs all the liquid from your toner/cleansing lotion and spits it all out. Ive never cared much about the cotton pads I used but the normal non-Japanese ones I use only know how to absorb the liquid from my products and only spit out 50%. Total waste of products there.

2)Cure’s Natural Aqua Gel

Guys, one bottle of this is sold every 12 seconds in Japan. 12 seconds, can you believe that?!? When I bought it, I only know its Japan’s no.1 exfoliator , I didnt even have any idea on how to use this and ended up having to google its ‘how-to’ πŸ˜€ After just one use, my face became SO MUCH smoother and basically felt like a baby’s bottom. Not exaggerating guys, its THAT good. There’s a reason why its sold once every 12 secs in Japan.

3) Shiseido’s Perfect Whip

Perfect Whip is Shiseido’s creation for drug store facial wash. Its known for being an extremely foamy facial wash. My mum and I bought like at least 10 of these babies. Its great guys, you just squeeze 1cm of this on the palms of your hands, rub them together to make it foamy and wash your face with the foams. I love it because I can feel all the dirt and make up being removed from my face. Yeah guys, it actually removes my makeup as well, save me from using makeup removers heh. Also, you only need a tiny bit each time! Which is really economical.

So there we go guys, three must by drug store babies from Japan. Coming up in Part 2 is a couple more products that I got and also some tips and tricks when it comes to buying duty free drug store stuff in Japan. I’ll try my best to get it up asap! πŸ˜€

Till next time, lots of love xxxx
